The South African Wind Energy Association (SAWEA), in partnership with ENGIE, invites you to an exclusive Media Day at Aurora Wind Farm on Wednesday, 11 June 2025. This special event is held in celebration of Global Wind Day, observed each year on 15 June.

This year's event also marks the 10-year anniversary of Aurora Wind Farm, which was commissioned in 2015. Over the past decade, Aurora has consistently supplied clean energy to the national grid and contributed to socio-economic development in the West Coast region. This milestone highlights the wider progress towards a just, inclusive, and low-carbon energy future in South Africa.

Join us as we celebrate Global Wind Day 2025, reflect on 10 years of impact at Aurora Wind Farm, and recognise the ongoing growth of wind energy in the country.

NB: Transport from Cape Town to Vredenburg, and back to Cape Town after the event, will be provided.
